Mechanical Shock and Inertial Load Testing
UN Regulation No. 100 / ISO 6469-1
Test scope and purpose
BOSMAL performs tests on rechargeable energy storage systems (REESS/RESS), including:
- “Mechanical Shock” testing in accordance with Annex 9C to UN Regulation No. 100;
- “Inertial Load at Vehicle Crash” testing in accordance with ISO 6469-1:2019, Clause 6.4.1.1.2.
The tests reproduce acceleration pulses and inertial loads that may act on an energy storage system during a vehicle collision. They enable the structural integrity and safety performance of the system under test, including its high-voltage circuits, to be assessed.
The maximum permissible mass of the test item, including measurement equipment, is 600 kg.
