Step-by-step instructions to access SAE PF&L presentations

2. Click on Login:
3. Type your email address (the one you used to register for the event) and your SAE account password in the box and click ‘Login’
4. Click ‘Search’ on the menu bar
5. Go to the box on the left and click on the word ‘Collections’
6. Click the box next to the text ‘2020 Powertrains, Fuels & Lubricants Digital Summit Presentations’ and then click ‘Apply’
7. You can now browse the presentations by title and abstract, moving between pages, or perform a search in the search box (e.g. for ‘piston’):
8. When you find a title of interest, click on it (e.g.)
9. A page will open showing the pre-recorded video and the abstract. Click on the video to play it and click on the full-screen icon at the right side of the video bar to make it full-screen.

Dear Friends,
The last 8 months have bought unprecedented change, which has caused the SAE 2020 Powertrains, Fuel & Lubricants meeting to adopt a virtual format (Powertrains, Fuels and Lubricants Digital Summit). It is a final reminder that this event will take place next week (Tuesday 22 – Wednesday 23 September) and to encourage you to attend, especially in view of the fact that attendance is free.
The virtual event will consist of live events and pre-recorded material. The live events comprise three keynote presentations and three panel discussions. A large number of pre-recorded presentations will be available to view, both during the event and for some months afterwards.
The three keynotes are:
  • Future Perspective of the Internal Combustion Engine
Speaker: Stefan Pischinger, FEV
  • Heavy Duty Powertrains Towards 2040
Speaker: Staffan Lundgren, Volvo
  • The Future of Road Transport: Implications of an Automated, Connected, Low-Carbon and Shared Mobility
Speaker: Piotr Szymanski, Joint Research Center
And the three panel discussions are:
  • Fuels & Lubricants
  • General Powertrains
  • Electrified Powertrains

Please note that times given on the event website are given as Eastern Daylight time (EDT), which is 6 hours earlier than Central European Summertime (CET) and 5 hours earlier than British Summertime (BST).
The event is completely free to attend, but you must create a free SAE account in order to register.
